Celebrate Recovery was founded in 1991 as a ministry of Saddleback Church by Pastor John and Cheryl Baker. John shared with Senior Pastor Rick Warren a vision God had given him for a new Christ-centered ministry where people could find freedom from their hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
Pastor George Raduano saw a need and brought the CR program to Trinity. The first meeting was in May 2008 and we are preparing for our 18th anniversary.
We currently serve as a ministry of Trinity under the guidance of Pastor Anthony Lecocq. The church supports us as an outreach ministry to our community.
Our current leaders are Ralph Boecker and Heidi Houston. We have led the ministry for two years with much assistance from our leadership team.
Our hot dinner is served from 6:00 to 7:00. If you would like a meal but can't arrive on time, call or text ahead to have a meal reserved.
The 7:00 hour is our large group time. We open with prayer and worship, followed by announcements, and wrapping with a teaching or testimony. The teachings are from the 25 lessons in the leaders guide. Testimonies tell the story of lives changed through working the Celebrate Recovery program.
Small open share groups follow from 8:00 to 9:00 or whenever people are finished sharing.
Dessert, usually including something baked and a fruit follow at 9:00. This is a time for fellowship and getting to know each other better.
We try to run from pain with self-medication, but the tension leads us to guilt, shame, and possibly depression. Relief is available through sharing.
Healing comes from sharing, and in this group women can share about whatever is weighing on their souls. Find freedom here.
